Description
Acriflex 0.25% w/w Cream is an antiseptic cream containing chlorhexidine gluconate, an antibacterial agent used for the treatment of minor burns and scalds, cuts, scratches, abrasions, sunburn blisters and infected cracked skin. It is suitable for adults, elderly people and children when used according to the product instructions.
The cream can be applied directly to affected skin and, where appropriate, covered with a dressing. Acriflex is designed for topical use and contains 0.25% w/w chlorhexidine gluconate as its active ingredient.

Instructions for Use
Adults, elderly people and children: Apply to the affected skin as needed.
For general use, apply the cream freely and gently smooth into the affected area. For cuts, abrasions and minor burns, spread the cream over the affected area and, if necessary, cover with a suitable dressing. Always read the enclosed patient information leaflet before use.
Warnings & Precautions
For external use only. Do not use Acriflex if you are allergic or hypersensitive to chlorhexidine gluconate or any of the other ingredients. Do not use in body cavities such as the mouth, vagina or inner ear. Avoid contact with the brain, meninges and middle ear.
Avoid contact with the eyes. Chlorhexidine can cause serious eye injury if it enters the eye. If Acriflex accidentally gets into the eyes, wash them immediately and thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if irritation, redness, pain or visual disturbance occurs.
Stop using the cream and seek immediate medical help if you develop signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, wheezing, dizziness or collapse. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
For serious, extensive or deep burns, seek urgent medical attention rather than relying on a topical antiseptic cream. Always follow the product leaflet and seek advice from a pharmacist or healthcare professional if you are unsure whether Acriflex is suitable.
