Milton Sterilising Fluid is a convenient cold-water sterilising solution specially formulated for baby feeding and breastfeeding equipment. It helps kill 99.9% of germs and sterilises baby bottles, breast pump parts, soothers, teething rings, weaning bowls, plastic cutlery and small plastic toys in just 15 minutes. The solution remains effective for up to 24 hours, making it practical for everyday use at home, while travelling or during overnight stays.

Milton Sterilising Fluid uses sodium hypochlorite (1.9% w/w available chlorine) as its active ingredient and requires no electricity. Simply dilute the recommended amount in cold water, immerse the cleaned items and allow them to soak. The fluid can also be diluted for disinfecting suitable household surfaces and items such as chopping boards, fridges and plastic containers.

Instructions for Use

For baby feeding and breastfeeding equipment:

Wash bottles, teats, breast pump parts and other items thoroughly in warm, soapy water, then rinse.
Fill a suitable sterilising container with 5 litres of cold water.
Add 1 capful (30 ml) of Milton Sterilising Fluid.
Fully immerse the cleaned items, ensuring there are no trapped air bubbles.
Leave submerged for at least 15 minutes. Items can remain in the solution for up to 24 hours.
Remove items when required and rinse with cooled boiled water before use, in line with Milton’s current instructions.
Renew the sterilising solution every 24 hours.

For household disinfection: Dilute 150 ml (5 capfuls) in 5 litres of cold water. Surfaces are disinfected after 15 minutes. Follow the product label for the appropriate use and rinsing instructions.

Warnings & Precautions

Keep out of reach of children. Milton Sterilising Fluid may cause skin irritation and may be corrosive to metals. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and take care not to splash the solution, as it may discolour fabrics and clothing. Do not use on metal.

WARNING: Do not mix or use Milton Sterilising Fluid together with other cleaning products or chemicals. Contact with acids or other products may release dangerous chlorine gas. Keep the bottle upright to help prevent leakage. Avoid release into the environment and always read the product label and safety information before use.
